In a brand-new series, Hayley Taylor from Benefit Busters helps the unemployed find jobs. In this episode she helps Maxine and Dean from Middlesbrough, who are keen to get back into work.

Hayley Taylor takes on the challenge of sorting out some of Britain's unemployed. Hayley goes into the homes of people who - sometimes as a result of the economic climate - are out of work, aimless or have little or no desire to get a job.
She believes that in order to get people to change you need to tackle every aspect of their life, and she makes them face up to realities of why they're in the situation they are, and forces them to listen to home truths from their loved ones. Hayley believes that once she's broken them down, she can then start to build them up again, and transform their life and attitude to work.
She helps line up job interviews for them, coaches them on how to impress the interviewers and then nervously waits with them at the end of each episode as they discover whether they've succeeded in getting a job. The news when it comes is often very emotional.

Episode 1:
Hayley travels to Middlesbrough to help young couple Maxine and Dean, and their 20-month-old baby girl. Dean lost his job at a security firm two years ago and Maxine hasn't worked since falling pregnant.
Both are living entirely off the benefits system but they both want to work; Dean wants a full-time job, and with Maxine's mum able to look after the baby, Maxine would like to work part-time.
When Hayley arrives she finds a couple who are caught in a spiral of debt and who are fearful to get off a system that is their lifeline. Dean is terrified of starting a job that doesn't work out - and then being without income for the six weeks it would take to start their benefits again - while Maxine's confidence is at rock-bottom after having a baby.
Over three weeks, Hayley tackles Dean's fears and Maxine's confidence as she takes them on a journey that shows them that work is about more than just the financial rewards.
After a day doing work experience, both Maxine and Dean show her that they really are ready to work and Hayley lines Dean up with a job interview for a full-time position at a local kitchen fitting company. For Maxine there is an interview for a part-time trainee role at a local beauty salon.
Will everything they learn from Hayley finally help them to get out of the benefits system and into work?
